This Little Fizzy Went To Market

This Little Fizzy Went To Market

The art of making candles by hand is extremely rewarding! Every week I dart around town collecting bottles from environmentally conscious restaurants like my favorite, Blue Mabel on 30a,  and residents who simply can't stand the idea of tossing all of their darling bottles into the landfill. I am more than happy to stack them up next to my saw and spend days cutting, sanding, and filling these vessels with the loveliest fragrances using only clean, natural essential oils.

The only thing more rewarding that this is the opportunity to share my candles with you face to face at local Farmer's Markets! Now, for those of you reading online from far and away - I do apologize. How I do wish you could be here smelling your way through these gorgeous fragrances with me - and maybe even enjoying a mimosa while we chat! But, alas, I will do my best to create very descriptive notes for you as you shop on this wonderful site!

Meanwhile if you can, hop in the family truckster and head on down (or up) to the beautiful Florida Panhandle for some amazing markets this weekend!

Saturday, October 3 from 8 AM - 12 PM on Baldwin Street, DeFuniak Springs, FL

This weekend will be very special as I am changing my schedule up a bit. Aren't classic Main Streets lined with hundred year old buildings and unique boutique shops and restaurants just the BEST!!??  There is a most quaint town just about 30 miles from the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico, called DeFuniak Springs. I have missed visiting with this pretty Main Street every Saturday so I will be packing up my UPcycled candles and other things to go visit with this very special town every Saturday this month!

I hope to enjoy a cozy latte and maybe something sweet from the Perla Baking Co. And after I have had a chance to chat with all of the wonderful shoppers I think I will reward myself with a cocktail from Bogey's, a browse in the sweetest little shop - Soiree. Or, maybe I'll just find a quiet spot around the circle lake and reflect on just how lucky I am to spend the day in such a fabulous place!
I will be out there from 8 AM until Noon, so please do come see me, and smell something lovely!

Sunday, October 4 from 8 AM - 1 PM at the Hammock Bay Gazebo Green, Freeport, FL

I must be honest with you, this is one of my FAVORITE markets to attend for so many reasons. The green space at Hammock Bay is beyond compare. This means all of my shoppers don't hesitate for a minute to bring their kiddos for a roll in the grass, or a spin in the sun, while mom or dad shop the incredible vendors. You can follow the smell of the best coffee you've ever dreamed of - Anchored Coffee - roasted by an extremely burly but surprisingly friendly veteran Navy Chief named Bill. He will drop some incredible coffee knowledge on you while you sip your brew - beware you will be buzzing through the rest of the day! When I have time to step away from my tent I love shopping for local honey harvested from the Register Family Farm. We all know we need to save the bees, right?

Whether you live in a surrounding community like Santa Rosa Beach, 30A, Niceville, Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Panama City, or even Southern Alabama - it is worth a little trip up to this utopic market in a beautiful, friendly picturesque community. After the market you can stroll or ride your bike MILES of trails throughout Hammock Bay, go to one of many nearby fishing holes, or even meet with one of our local realtors for a tour of some gorgeous new homes. You may find yourself daydreaming of waking up here every day!
If that sounds like fun, check out: Rick Gonzalez, EXP Realty or  Gina Walker, Hammock Bay Realty
I'll be at the Hammock Bay Market Sunday from 8 AM until 1 PM, and hope you will come see why I am so proud to call this beautiful place my home!

Well now that I have shared all of this information with you, I had better get back to making candles!

I hope the rest of your week is Fizztastic!
